  • Detecting glass reliably

    During the production of these pieces, large-scale glass substrates are transported, processed and stored. In addition, the IDs from individual glass substrates or cassettes are managed during production to ensure efficient manufacture and quality management. Leuze electronic sensors reliably detect these hard-to-detect surfaces and edges and identify the IDs.

  • Only exact alignment enables good results

    Up to 12 wafers are soldered in a row in further processing. Six to eight of these rows are mounted together into a panel between foil and glass plates. If a frame is attached around the panel, it is considered to be a module. Sensors help align the individual wafers exactly to prevent waves in the modules.

  • The heart of every solar energy plant

    Sensors from Leuze electronic must complete special tasks during the manufacture of photovoltaic wafers. The highly reflective surfaces make reliable detection difficult. However, the wafers must be correctly aligned with the sensors and faults such as edge chipping must be detected. This situation is further aggravated by the fact that the wafers can be wet or hot.
